Stuffs These Days

I kinda pity this blog. Growing mouldy. But I'm kinda happy that the net is back at the hotel. There was none lately.

And to think, by Friday next week, my Induction programme would be over. Life at MinDef is kinda slowing and we're currently doing the planning for the closing ceremony. Next week, we'll be visiting Pusat Ehsan and places of the like. We've prepared some small games and goodie bags for them, so I hope they'll like it.

My earphones just rosak for no reason just now. It was still working in the afternoon. When I got back to the hotel, suddenly one side wasn't working really that well anymore. Weird. Maybe it's the way I folded it.

And oh, recently I got a scare from Imperial. They sent me an email saying that I accepted their offer. That was scary for the moment, since I put Imperial as insurance and I've accepted Cambridge.\

Yup, yet again a mixture of stuffs. =p

Alive, but ignorant

My life revolves around music. Duh. And I'm happy to have tolerant roommates and they have been tolerating me for singing that long until now. So I have stopped to show appreciation to them. Unfortunately for them, I can actually still sing a lot more, a lot louder and a lot more times on one single song. But anyway, I'm thankful they didn't complain so far, as it's late night. So I'll save my urges for home. Tomorrow's friday anyway.

Yes I'm back from Temburong. I'm only there for one week and returned on Sunday. And came back into Mindef this week and this week was a bit mild. A bit relaxing in a way.

What have I been busying lately? A PS emulator. I played FF8 before Temburong. Now, I'm playing Digimon World. Hahaha. Retro style is the in thing right now. Go with the flow, people! =p

Siong Siang is going to Kuching for biotech and he went back today. And an outing with him yesterday showed me how much I miss verbal attacks. And also how small my satellite is, suddenly I don't know where everyone is going for further studies. So basically, I wanna show I'm alive, but I'm so ignorant. I severely need updates and to learn how to chat with people!

Excuses

It's yet the end of another week and yes, I've got a new laptop as most of you guys would have known. It's a Dell Studio 1555 and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Well, maybe except that the battery life isn't as long as I would like it to be. And so I've been downloading programs and now, I'm using it to arrange my music and photos, which was long overdue. And I'm still pretty hyped up about my new lappie. Hehe.

Through this week, I've realised that I've been taking being busy an excuse for blogging. I don't necessarily have to blog about my week. I can blog about everyday. Being busy doesn't mean I can't socialise with those I met in the Thailand APhO, which I have not talked to until now. I can still play Go. I wanna also read my books. I wanna finish arranging the files in my computer.

And so I'm blogging. Hehe. I'll try to spend some time every now and then to read, to play, to blog, to chat. With this laptop, I have no reason to slack. The net's fine by now, not having problems like earlier this week. But oh, unfortunately, I'll be spending 6 days at Temburong next week, so in the jungle, I don't even have phone, much rather a lappie with internet access. So yeah, I pity my blog now.

And oh, Happy Birthday to Wei Deng!

Dark Boy finally blogging

Now, what I've been doing lately is pity and pity and pity this blog. Posts are long overdue and I can no longer complain about my keyboard cause I've got a new one. And it's amazing how $12 compare to $10. =p But, I digress.

I'm committing the same mistake as always. I have a topic in mind that I wanna post about and I stop posting completely until I find the time to post that topic. And lookee here, I still haven't posted about military orientation. What I can say is that I got darker and my hair became a lot shorter.

I was waiting and waiting for that never-ever-coming laptop and I thought that would let me online and blog more. But noooo, the laptop has not come, yet. Oh well, the net is not working in the hotel for the meantime. But still. I wanna do so much. Like play word challenge. Like edit photos. Like rearrange songs. Play some popcap games that are apparently laggy on my desktop.

What have I been doing lately? I've past a more laid back week. This week was about the mini-amazing race which I might talk about next time. Thanks to it, I've gotten a lot a lot a lot darker. Not the military orientation. Soooo I'd better put tonnes of sunblock next week for the week of sports, but I think having dark skin, it's harder to get sunburn or something? =p

And oh, I went to the Funfair today. It is really pathetic. One round and no point staying anymore. Enough said. Too pathetic to continue.

Yup, a small update on my life.

Small Farewell

We were having a small farewell on Sunday for May Yan who's left yesterday I think for Abdul Rahman to do actuarial science. We went to Swensen's, which included me, Chia Yee, Siong Siang and Yee Teng. I think I've been deprived of normal food so much, that I just splurged my money all over the place. I ordered lamb. Thankgod I haven't been spending money for 3 weeks. The Chocolate Fudge Shake thingy was nice though, a bit gooey, sticky, chocolatey nice. Hehe.

Siong Siang kept trying clothes in Bingo, so I might as well join in the fun. Tried on some that absolutely made me look gay and the other one, so so I think. No intention to buy clothes at all. Haha. Then we went to food court to eat some more. Haha. I had a chicken toast crepe and as always, the things I buy have not much value for my money. And for once, people said I ate quickly. Desperately hungry, even though the crepe was hot. Haha. Accomplishment.

We saw Louis, Shee Ling, Jason Pang, Yen Lu, Chee Ta, and I can't remember who. Chee Ta had this performance at the mall. For what I dunno also. I just kinda peeked at Chee Ta's performance at the 3rd floor. Haha. It was rehearsing for this that made him late for his own birthday party.

And then we talked and we talked, as always at the food court, until we had to leave. Very thrifty. Time spent wisely. No money or time wasted in movies. Haha. We won't be able to do this for a long time. So we'd have to cherish this. I guess I'll have to be saying goodbye to May Yan, cause we'll be having holidays at different times and we'll not see each other for a long long time. May you succeed in your future endeavours.
And how come I got to type this post. Cause I borrowed my friend's laptop. And I typed two posts at once. So the last post and today's is typed together. Hopefully, I'll post on Friday. Hehe. Maybe I'll say more on military orientation and Thailand. I hope my lappie comes soon, cause I can't really keep borrowing friends' lappies.

Chee Ta's Birthday

I pity this blog so much. Haha. Yes, as all of you guys know, I'm back from the military orientation. Many has seen my dark skin and short short hair. For those who hasn't, too bad... Awww... =p Cause I plan to grow so much hair in this week that it'll be very different when you see me. As if it's possible.

So I guess I'll move on to something recent. Well, I'll be talking about Chee Ta's birthday party. That boy is finally legal now. Haha. Better learn how to drive. And incidentally, he got a box of condoms. And he took a picture with it and the birthday cake together. His family was all laughing at him. Me shared with some other guys to buy a Razor mouse for him. Hmm, which reminds me, I still owe someone money. Haha.

Well, lots of people came for the party. Catering. Barbeque. Cute little doggies. Kids hogging the ps2. Others using the karaoke. Mahjong, mahjong. Haha. Apparently, Ing Siang and me, to a very very very little extent (I saw that on Wan Sien's blog), were very popular for our hair and photos. Haha. Should charge, really.

As usual, I spent a lot of time singing. I was hogging the mike too much. Should really learn to diversify a bit from the mike. Haha. I just stay and stick there so long, singing songs even that I'm not too sure about. Should've went out to play Mahjong. And eventually left at 2am. So damn tired the next day. But it was nice.

And yes, Pei Yi was having her birthday on the same day. Wonder if she received my message. Anyways, Happy Belated Birthday to both of you.

Signing out from Room XXXX, Le Gallery Hotel. =p

Small, small notice

This is a notice from me that this blog will unfortunately continue to be inactive. Yes, I have returned from Thailand. What happened after that was a week of Mindef roadshow to the schools in Brunei.
As I type now, I'm in a 2 week military orientation in Tutong camp. This programme ends Friday of next week. Not much time for myself really. You have to prepare and be early and that kind of things. We're having a taste of military life, albeit a milder one.

I wanted to type a post on Thailand, but it got a bit too much. So that will have to wait. And I won't be posting much in my military orientation here since like I said, not much time. Which basically means I have to be sleeping now. Have to wake at 5am tomro. See!

And oh, yes, I've cut my hair to near bald. Ultra short. Let's see when you will meet me when I am finally at home. As for those who saw my photos through Ing Siang. That's cheating. Haha. =p

End of 2nd Week

Oy vey, I have no lappie at MinDef. Well, not that I'm not being issued one, it's just that the issue will be in May. My sister took hers back. So I'm very online-less these days.

Oy Vey meaning an exclamation of dismay or exasperation, or meaning "Woe is me". It's Jewish by the way.

Of course there'll be lots to say about this week. I'm lazy to talk about last week. The last we did was a personality test to know ourselves better and it was quite fun. =p This week, we've been to the 3rd battalion in Lumut, the Navy and the Air Force. Of course I've been to other places and in this week, there would've been boring presentations, but we'll skip that part.

One of the things that you think about in military camps are weapons. Weeeee. And I held machine guns, shot gun, pistol and M16, which tkc tells me is a rifle. Well, I don't know, they are all names to me. Guns are a little scary, but cool. Don't know whether have the one on sniping or not. I bet people are like ahhh I know that gun from COD or CS, but to see it real life is a big big difference. And holding it too. And the reloading. Without bullets of course.

There are remote controls for detonating explosives, which in our case was a smoke screen of some sort. There are mortars, which I see as modern cannons, with mini-missiles replacing cannons. And, these mortars can fire 20km away. Very different. There was also this heat sensing thing for a short range aircraft gun i think. Can track airplanes. Of course can see people as very very red things inside the machine thing. Also got a remote controlled robot for indirectly approaching things like bombs. We got to control the robot and look through its many cameras.

We've been inside tanks and armored personnel carriers (APC). Feel like soldiers going off to war in a hot, enclosed space. Been in a helicopter and jet like plane. Which obviously wasn't flying.Climb all around and I tell you there are tonnes of switches and meters to read. Horrors. Been on a navy ship. Seen a missile thingy and a machine gun. And we got chance to fire the machine gun at balloons at sea. Was really hard with the rocking of the boat and the aiming. But, it was my first time shooting. Wheeee. And this batch is generally interested in lots of climbing. Haha. We climbed on to the roofs of tanks, the APC's, the fire engine (yes there's a military bomba inside the army), the helicopter and just climbing.

Speaking of climbing, there's a rock climbing thing. Gonna learn that. In the meantime, gym was cool. And I saw ping pong tables in many places throughout army locations. Wheeee. Though I don't have time to play that. We went kayaking and it was my first time. Fun really, just seawater is really really salty. There's a physical training instructor who watches over us and the 2.4 km run. I was okay on thursday, but I think I ate too much on friday and felt like vomitting. I wanna prove myself again. Rawr!

It was all new and nice experiences. Hehe. And probably I'm not blogging next week. Gonna go Bangkok on Friday morning. Wish me lucks.
